This is an ancient temple established in the village of Chokkanathapuram,also by the side of Nila River. This was built as a necessity to ward off any evil effects which was rampant in the village of Chokkanathapuram from the wrath of Shiva on the opposite side. The Diety is Lord Maha Vishnu in the form of Lord Krishna. After consecrating this temple, the village became peaceful and prosperous. This temple is also short of funds even for the daily pujas.
